For the 2nd straight day, the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases reported just 1 newly confirmed COVID-19 case with 7 recoveries but with 1 death, Tuesday.
This is the first time since May 9 (75 active cases) that the number of active COVID-19 cases has dropped this low, including the number of hospitalized patients now just 19 cases in all 5 hospitals.
Hence, since the city was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to July 20 2021 there are 74 active COVID cases; 2, 622 recoveries and 76 deaths.
The lone newly confirmed COVID-19 case is a 65-year-old patient with comorbidities (hypertension, diabetes and arthritis).
The latest fatality is a 63-year-old senior citizen, who was admitted in a hospital after manifesting symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
Meanwhile, the 7 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of barangays Bajumpandan (1), Calindagan (1), Camanjac (2) and Pulantubig (3).
Nine barangays have zero COVID-19 case, namely Calindagan, Cantil-e, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 3, Poblacion 5, Poblacion 6, Poblacion 7, Tabuc-tubig and Talay.
Six barangays are managing just 1 case each to include Balugo, Looc, Mangnao, Motong, Poblacion 1 and Poblacion 4.
The remaining 15 barangays reported the number of active COVID-19 as follows: Bagacay (4), Bajumpandan (2), Banilad (5), Bantayan (4), Batinguel (5), Buñao (3), Cadawinonan (2), Camanjac (4), Candau-ay (3), Daro (10), Piapi (11), Junob (2), Poblacion 8 (4), Pulantubig (4) and Taclobo (5).
