About 5, 890 eligible residents in Dumaguete City have already received their 2nd dose as of July 20, 2021, hence already considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
However, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo still urges fully vaccinated residents to continue observing the minimum health protocols like wearing of face masks, social distancing and frequent washing of hands to remain safe against COVID-19 infection.
Of the 5, 890 fully vaccinated residents 4, 099 of them belong to Priority group A2 or senior citizens, 905 under A3 or persons with comorbidities and 886 belong to A1 or the medical frontliners.
Meanwhile, 8, 986 residents are scheduled to receive their 2nd dose based on the schedules provided to them in their vaccination cards and confirmed by their health workers.
Mayor Remollo has instructed the City Health Office to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination rollout as he requested for additional supply of vaccines from the national government.
