The Department of Social Welfare and Development Office and the City Government completed today the distribution of the Livelihood Assistance Grant of P 15, 000 for each of the 400 recipients selected based on the guidelines of DSWD.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo lauded DSWD Region 7 for the release livelihood assistance that include ambulant vendors, massage therapists, waste pickers, farmers, market vendors, 4Ps beneficiaries, typhoon victims in Poblacion 1 (Tinago) and fire victims of Barangay Junob.
City Sectoral Desk Officer Albert Aquino said that this is the 4th batch of beneficiaries from Dumaguete City identified and selected by the DSWD Region 7 based on the guidelines of the grant.
The beneficiaries followed the health protocols against COVID-19 for the safe release of the DSWD cash assistance.
