In this week’s episode, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo discusses with Let’s Talk Show host Dr. Dinno T. Depositario the efforts of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to accelerate the vaccination of eligible residents against COVID-19.
The City Health Office has already administered a total 16, 135 doses of COVID-19 vaccines both SINOVAC and ASTRAZENECA to 13, 699 eligible residents (for 1st and 2nd dose) as of July 10, 2021.
At the same time, Health Marshals led by Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas are also conducting daily patrol to strictly enforce the basic health protocols requiring all residents to wear face masks, observe physical or social distancing and ban mass gathering.
Mayor Remollo urged the citizens to cooperate with the health authorities and to register for vaccination so that the city will be among the first LGU to achieve herd immunity.
The national government has already provided 27, 000 COVID vaccines direct to Dumaguete City in 3 shipments.
