The Office of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo confirms the scheduled release of livelihood assistance grant of the Department of Social Welfare and Development to 400 qualified recipients at P 15, 000 each on Tuesday and Wednesday at the City Hall.
City Sectoral Desk Officer Albert Aquino said that this is the 4th batch of beneficiaries from Dumaguete City identified and selected by the DSWD Region 7 based on the guidelines of the grant.
The beneficiaries include ambulant vendors, massage therapists, waste pickers, farmers, market vendors, 4Ps beneficiaries, typhoon victims in Poblacion 1 (Tinago) and fire victims of Barangay Junob.
In a recent meeting called by Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario for offices that will implement the payout of livelihood assistance, each confirmed beneficiary will be given a coupon with his/her name, payroll number, assigned cashier, scheduled date and time of the release of the financial aid.
All required the health protocols for the safe release of the DSWD cash assistance will be observed and the beneficiaries are reminded to wear face masks and face shields when they claim their cash assistance.
