As the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine has been extended by President Rodrigo Duterte to another 15 days, parents are reminded that minors (15-years-old and below) and senior citizens (65-year-old above) must stay at home in accordance to the COVID-19 protocols.
Local health marshals and several barangay officials led by Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas patrolled the streets and housing projects to enforce the health protocols that prohibit minors and the elderly outside of their homes, observe social distancing, wearing of face masks and frequent hand washing.
The authorities also inspected business establishments to enforce the protocols inside their premises, provide alcohol and sanitizers to employees and clients and to conduct daily disinfection.
The Health Marshals are composed of personnel from the City Health Office, Philippine National Police, Traffic Management Office, Special Enforcement Unit, Department Trade Industry, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office and Bureau of Fire Protection.
