The number of COVID-19 active cases drop further to 211 following the recovery of 57 patients but with 30 new confirmed cases based on the most recent swab test results released, Wednesday.
Therefore, the city now has 211 active COVID-19 cases, 2, 227 recoveries and 65 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 30, 2021.
The 57 new recoveries are residents of Barangays Banilad (3); Bajumpandan (5); Balugo (1); Bantayan (2); Batinguel (10); Calindagan (3); Candau-ay (2); Cantil-e (4); Daro (3); Junob (6); Looc (4); Mangnao (1); Motong (3); Piapi (3); Pulantubig (1); Tabuc-tubig (3) and Taclobo (3).
Meanwhile, the 30 new COVID-19 cases are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (1); Banilad (4); Bantayan (1); Batinguel (1); Buñao (2); Cadawinonan (1); Camanjac (2); Candau-ay (2); Daro (3); Junob (5); Motong (3); Piapi (1); Tabuc-tubig (2) and Taclobo (2).
The new COVID-19 cases are still the combined results of those tested in the hospitals, PESU and the expanded swab testing of close contacts.
One hundred nineteen (119) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 31 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 4 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
