Another 50 COVID-19 recoveries were reported along with 18 new confirmed cases as most of the barangays have already recorded noticeable drop in their number of active cases as of Tuesday.
Presently, the city has 234 active COVID-19 cases, 2, 074 recoveries and 65 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 29, 2021.
The 50 new recoveries are residents of Barangays Bagacay (5); Bajumpandan (1); Banilad (1); Bantayan (3); Batinguel (4); Buñao (1); Cadawinonan (1); Calindagan (5); Candau-ay (4); Cantil-e (1); Daro (2); Junob (1); Looc (1); Motong (1); Piapi (3); Poblacion 5 (4); Poblacion 7 (1); Poblacion 8 (3); Pulantubig (1); Tabuc-tubig (2); Taclobo (4) and Talay (1).
Meanwhile, the 18 new COVID-19 cases are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (1); Bajumpandan (1); Balugo (1); Calindagan (2); Camanjac (1); Candau-ay (4); Junob (1); Mangnao (1); Poblacion 4 (1); Poblacion 5 (1); Poblacion 6 (1); Taclobo (2) and Talay (1).
The new COVID-19 cases are still the combined results of those tested in the hospitals, PESU and the expanded swab testing of close contacts.
Forty-three (43) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 41 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 1 PUM with symptoms of ILI.
