City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas deployed the health marshals in the downtown area and residential neighborhoods to disperse gatherings and inspect the compliance of the establishments to the protocols against COVID-19.
Business establishments are reminded of their responsibilities to enforce minimum health protocols such as: wearing of face masks, social distancing especially during gatherings, frequent hand washing and provisions of alcohol and disinfectants to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 while the city remains under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
The Health Marshals are composed of personnel from the City Health Office, Philippine National Police, Traffic Management Office, Special Enforcement Unit, Department Trade Industry, City Social Welfare and Development Office, City Administrator’s Office and Bureau of Fire Protection.
