City Health Officer reports 108 COVID-19 recoveries and 46 new confirmed cases based on the latest release of swab test results released, Monday.
Presently, the city has 270 active COVID-19 cases, 2, 024 recoveries and 65 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 28, 2021.
The 108 new recoveries are residents of Barangays Bagacay (10); Bajumpandan (3); Balugo (5); Banilad (2); Bantayan (4); Batinguel (6); Buñao (7); Cadawinonan (11); Calindagan (5); Camanjac 8; Candau-ay (6); Cantil-e (2); Daro (3); Junob (2); Looc (5); Motong (2); Piapi (6); Poblacion 5 (1); Poblacion 7 (1); Poblacion 8 (4); Pulantubig (3); Taclobo (11) and Talay (1).
Meanwhile, the 46 new COVID-19 cases are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (12); Bajumpandan (1); Banilad (2); Bantayan (5); Batinguel (10); Buñao (1); Cadawinonan (1); Candau-ay (7); Junob (6); Mangnao (1); Piapi (3); Tabuc-tubig (1); Taclobo (3) and Talay (1).
The new COVID-19 cases are still the combined results of those tested in the hospitals, PESU and the expanded swab testing of close contacts.
One hundred thirty-three (133) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 112 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 6 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
