In compliance to the regulations of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) contact sports like basketball in the barangays and volleyball at the Rizal Boulevard have been halted for many weeks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Health marshals under City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas continue to enforce these restrictions including suspension of massage services at the Rizal Boulevard to prevent close contacts and mass gatherings.
Daily patrols are also done in the public market to enforce the use of face masks and social distancing at the same time ensuring that flea markets (talipapas) in the barangays are also following the minimum health standards.
