City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas spearheaded the deployment of teams for the daily operations to enforce the health protocols against COVID-19 especially while the city is under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
Health marshals inspect the flea market (talipapas) and reminded both buyers and sellers to observe physical distancing, wearing of face masks and frequent hand washing.
Violators are warned that they can be fined and detained for defying the local health protocols and the 10:00PM curfew.
The Health Marshals are composed of personnel from the City Health Office, Philippine National Police, Traffic Management Office, Special Enforcement Unit, Department Trade Industry, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office and Bureau of Fire Protection.
