The City Health Office reports 73 additional COVID-19 recoveries but with 32 new confirmed cases based on the latest release of swab test results, Thursday.
Presently, there are now 340 active COVID-19 cases, 1, 823 recoveries and 62 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 24, 2021.
Barangay Bantayan registered the most number of COVID-19 recoveries with 12 of its residents declared to have recovered after swab tests.
The other new COVID recoveries are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan (6); Balugo (6); Banilad (7); Batinguel (7); Buñao (3); Cadawinonan (2); Candau-ay (1); Calindagan (3); Camanjac (2); Cantil-e (4); Daro (3); Looc (5); Mangnao (2); Pulantubig (2); Taclobo (4) and Talay (4).
Meanwhile, the 32 new COVID-19 cases are residents of the following barangays: Balugo (1); Banilad (1); Batinguel (6); Camanjac (2); Candau-ay (2); Daro (2); Junob (2); Looc (1); Piapi (1); Poblacion 7 (2); Pulantubig (1); Tabuc-Tubig (1); Taclobo (9) and Talay (1).
The new COVID-19 cases are still the combined results of those tested in the hospitals, PESU and the expanded swab testing of close contacts.
