The number of active COVID-19 cases has sharply dropped to 383 following the recoveries of 125 patients with 29 new cases reported, Wednesday.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that from January 30, 2020 to June 23, 2021 there are now 383 active COVID-19 cases; 1, 750 recoveries and 62 deaths.
The 125 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (11); Bajumpandan (3); Banilad (15); Bantayan (2); Batinguel (1); Buñao (1); Cadawinonan (1); Calindagan (5); Camanjac (4); Candau-ay (5); Cantil-e (1); Daro (14); Junob (8); Looc (5); Mangnao (8); Motong (4); Piapi (12); Poblacion 2 (1); Poblacion 8 (4); Pulantubig (16); Taclobo (1) and Talay (11).
Meanwhile, Dr. Talla disclosed that the 29 new active COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan (2), Balugo (1), Bantayan (2), Batinguel (7), Calindagan (2), Daro (2), Junob (4), Looc (4), Piapi (3), Poblacion 2 (1) and Pulantubig (1).
Two hundred four (204) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from isolation today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
In contrast, 49 are close contacts of the COVID positive cases in the different barangays.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
