The City Health Office reports 84 COVID-19 recoveries and 30 new cases based on the latest release of swab test results, Tuesday.
Presently, the city has 477 active COVID-19 cases, 1, 625 recoveries and 62 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 22, 2021.
The 61 new recoveries are residents of Barangays Bagacay (1); Bajumpandan (4); Balugo (10); Banilad (1); Bantayan (5); Batinguel (7); Buñao (3); Cadawinonan (4); Calindagan (7); Camanjac (1); Candau-ay (1); Cantil-e (2); Daro (5); Junob (9); Looc (1); Mangnao (6); Motong (1); Piapi (3); Poblacion 7 (1); Pulantubig (4); Taclobo (6) and Talay (2).
Meanwhile, the 30 new COVID-19 cases are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (1); Balugo (1); Bantayan (4); Batinguel (1); Buñao (1); Calindagan (4); Candau-ay (2); Cantil-e (1); Daro (7); Junob (1); Looc (4); Mangnao (1); Poblacion 7 (1) and Taclobo (1).
The new COVID-19 cases are still the combined results of those tested in the hospitals, PESU and the expanded swab testing of close contacts.
Eighty-two (82) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 84 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 8 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
