The number of active COVID-19 cases dropped anew as 92 COVID-19 patients have recovered but with 48 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths reported Monday.
Hence, since the city was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to June 21, 2021 there are 528 active COVID cases; 1, 545 recoveries and 61 deaths.
The 92 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (1); Bajumpandan (3); Balugo (5); Banilad (1); Bantayan (2); Batinguel (12);Buñao (2); Cadawinonan (3); Calindagan (2); Camanjac (17); Candau-ay (1); Daro (1); Junob (2); Looc (6); Mangnao (10); Motong (3); Piapi (1); Poblacion 8 (5); Pulantubig (9); Tabuc-tubig (3); Taclobo (1) and Talay (2).
In contrast, the city registered 48 new cases from Barangays Bagacay (4), Bajumpandan (😎, Balugo (1), Banilad (2), Bantayan (1), Batinguel (9), Cadawinonan (2), Calindagan (4), Camanjac (1), Candau-ay (5), Cantil-e (1), Daro (4), Piapi (4) and Talay (2).
Meanwhile, 2 senior citizens are the latest COVID-19 fatalities reported today.
The 74 known close contacts of COVID-19 cases are quarantined and will undergo RT PCR swab tests along with 2 persons with Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
Meanwhile, 55 Persons Under Monitoring were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
