City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that 13 new COVID-19 cases were reported today with 1 recovery as 62 close contacts were quarantined beginning Sunday.
Hence, from January 30, 2020 to June 20, 2021, the city now has 576 active COVID cases; 1, 453 recoveries and 58 deaths.
The 13 new COVID-19 cases include 2 health workers with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI); a government employee; a lawyer; 5 close contacts of COVID patients and 4 persons with Influenza Like Illness.
A 63-year-old senior citizen is the latest COVID patient who has recovered.
Among those on quarantine are 62 close contacts of COVID-19 cases from Barangays Buñao, Bajumpandan, Bantayan, Batinguel, Calindagan, Looc and Mangnao.
On the other hand, 34 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
