Both the Philippine National Police and Barangay officials are deployed to conduct daily checkpoints in major streets and boundaries of the city to regulate the movement of people while the city under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine or MECQ.
All vehicles and persons are inspected if they follow the minimum health standards and protocols required, such as: wearing face masks, face shields and helmets, observance of physical distancing, sole purpose of travel is to access essential goods and services or by reason of work, prohibition of minors, the elderly, pregnant women and those with comorbidities from going outside their homes, ban on gatherings outside residences, enforcement of the curfew and liquor ban.
