Personnel of the Philippine National Police, Traffic Management Office and Barangay Tanod Brigades are deployed at the Quarantine Control Points (QCP) in strategic locations of the city to enforce the protocols under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine or MECQ.
All vehicles and persons are inspected if they follow the minimum health standards and protocols required, such as: wearing face masks, face shields and helmets, observance of physical distancing, sole purpose of travel is to access essential goods and services or by reason of work, prohibition of minors, the elderly, pregnant women and those with comorbidities from going outside their homes, ban on gatherings outside residences, enforcement of the curfew and liquor ban.
Considering that the sudden and unusual increase in the number of COVID-19 cases have been traced to have principally infected members of the same families, thus everyone is enjoined to be more vigilant and dutifully observe the health protocols even while within the confines of their homes.
