City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla opens another vaccination post at Robinsons Mall today (aside from two other gymnasiums) to serve more senior citizens as several private health workers have volunteered to help in the rollout COVID-19 vaccines.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has earlier ordered for health authorities to accelerate the vaccination of registered senior citizens under A2 utilizing the vaccines that was recently shipped directly to Dumaguete City by Senator Bong Go and Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. from the national government.
Considering the limited supply of vaccines from the Integrated Provincial Health Office, Mayor Remollo is now requesting the national government and other organizations if they could provide additional shipments of vaccines direct to Dumaguete City being the capital city of the province and with the increased number of COVID-19 cases.
Senior citizens who have registered, are reminded to wait for the call or notification from the City Health Office that will confirm their schedule and place of vaccination.
Walk-in will not be allowed to ensure the orderly vaccination and avoid overcrowding.
