The City Health Office reports 48 COVID-19 recoveries with 18 new cases and 1 death based on the latest release of swab RT-PCR test results, Friday.
Presently, the city has 432 active COVID-19 cases, 1, 091 recoveries and 50 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 11, 2021.
The 48 COVID-19 recoveries are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (1); Bajumpandan (2); Balugo (4); Batinguel (4); Banilad (7), Bantayan (1), Buñao (2); Calindagan (7); Camanjac (1), Cantil-e (1), Daro (1); Junob (4); Piapi (3); Poblacion 5 (1); Poblacion 7 (1); Pulantubig (1); Tabuc-tubig (1); Taclobo (3) and Talay (3).
Meanwhile, the 18 new COVID-19 cases are from Barangays Bagacay, Bantayan, Batinguel, Buñao, Candau-ay, Mangnao, Pulantubig, Tabuc-tubig and Talay.
Fifteen (15) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 79 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 10 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
