The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases confirms 123 additional COVID-19 cases, along with 35 recoveries and 1 death reported, Thursday.
These newly reported COVID-19 cases are still based on the results of the massive swab testing of close contacts of confirmed cases in the city for their immediate isolation and treatment.
There are now 461 active COVID-19 cases, 1, 043 recoveries and 49 deaths since the pandemic affected the City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 10, 2021.
The 123 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are residents of the following barangays Bagacay 8, Bajumpandan (12); Balugo (8); Banilad (5); Bantayan (1); Batinguel (17); Buñao (1); Cadawinonan (5), Calindagan (3); Camanjac (1); Candau-ay (3); Daro (2); Junob (11); Looc (4), Mangnao (10); Piapi (16); Poblacion 3 (3); Poblacion 8 (6); Pulantubig (3) and Taclobo (4).
Nevertheless, 35 COVID-19 patients have also recovered while one person with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) and comorbidity died today.
Thirty (30) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Twenty-six (26) Persons Under Monitoring are under strict quarantine as they are known contacts of COVID-19 positive cases with symptoms of ILI.
