Local health marshals on wheels patrol the city streets to spot violators of the COVID-19 health protocols including minors (15-years-old and below) and senior citizens (65-year-old above) who are supposed to stay at home while the city is under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
The health marshals on wheels led by Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas also inspected establishments of their compliance to the mandate that they provide disinfectants for their customers and to require the use of face masks.
Section 4 of City Ordinance No. 65 series of 2020 provides that failure of the business establishments to impose physical distancing inside their premises, provide alcohol and sanitizers to employees and clients and conduct daily disinfection will be penalized with a fine and subsequent revocation of the business permit on 3rd offense.
