Fifty-two (52) COVID-19 patients have been released from isolation following their recovery even as 14 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
The new COVID-19 cases are still based on the results of the massive swab testing of close contacts of confirmed cases in the city for their immediate isolation and treatment.
Presently, Dumaguete City has 367 active COVID-19 cases, 969 recoveries and 46 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 8, 2021.
The 52 COVID-19 recoveries are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (3); Bajumpandan (1); Balugo (2); Banilad (3); Bantayan (2); Batinguel (2; Buñao (1); Calindagan (1); Candau-ay (2); Cantil-e (1); Daro (2); Junob (2); Motong (1); Piapi (1); Pulantubig (2); Taclobo (6) and Talay (1).
Forty-six (46) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 52 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 2 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
