The City Health Office reports 52 COVID-19 recoveries and 20 new cases based on the latest release of swab RT-PCR test results, Friday.
Presently, the city now has 303 active COVID-19 cases, 874 recoveries and 43 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present June 4, 2021.
The 52 COVID-19 recoveries are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (1); Bajumpandan (2); Bantayan (3); Batinguel (7); Calindagan (16); Candau-ay (4); Daro (5); Junob (3); Looc (3); Motong (1); Piapi (1); Poblacion 6 (1); Tabuc-tubig (1) and Taclobo (4).
Meanwhile, the 20 new COVID-19 cases are include government employees, staff of private companies and persons with Influenza Like Illness (ILI) from Barangays Bagacay, Bajumpandan, Balugo, Banilad, Batinguel, Buñao, Cadawinonan, Calindagan, Candau-ay, Motong Piapi and Taclobo.
Sixty-nine (69) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 59 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 6 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
