Members of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases were called to convene yesterday by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo to discuss the newly issued Executive Order 16 of Governor Roel Degamo.
Councilor Manuel Sagarbarria reiterated the request of the City IATF for the Department of Education to allow public schools with adequate amenities to be converted into isolation and quarantine facilities to manage the rising COVID-19 cases in the city.
Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario, who is also the Chief-of-Staff of Mayor Remollo, requested the select members of the City IATF to formulate additional measures to regulate the entry of non-residents to the city with extensive consultations of all stakeholders.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla and Calindagan Punong Barangay Maria Isabel Sagarbaria also reiterated the policy of the City IATF not to allow the entry of travelers without the required negative RT-PCR results and the Certificate of Acceptance prior to travel.
