In the first session to be presided by the newly assumed Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino (via zoom conference) City Council unanimously passed resolution requesting the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines to postpone the brownout scheduled this Sunday considering the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
Specifically, the resolution requests NGCP to “postpone its scheduled brownout on Sunday, June 6, 2021 to assist the Local Inter-Agency Task Force in addressing the drastic increase of active COVID-19 cases in the City and preventing the spread thereof.”
The City Council also passed a resolution expressing deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of the late Honorable Vice-Mayor Alan Gel S. Cordova lauding him for being an “exemplary leader, a good friend, and a reliable brother, and to his extra-ordinary example of good governance and genuine public service.”
