The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases confirms 31 additional COVID-19 cases, along with 7 recoveries reported today.
There are now 201 active COVID-19 cases, 690 recoveries and 38 deaths since the pandemic affected the City from January 30, 2020 to the present May 25, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla provided the details of the 31 new COVID-19 cases are: a BPO employee exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 case from Sibulan; a technician of a private company based in another municipality; 4 persons exposed to COVID-19 cases in Barangay Bantayan to include a 27-year-old male; 57-year-old government employee; 19-year-old student and a 69-year-old businessman; a 61-year-old father who was exposed to his 22-year-old daughter with history of Influenza Like Illness; 4 residents of Barangay Buñao exposed to confirmed COVID-19 cases to include employees of private companies and a BPO agent; 73-year-old senior citizen who was admitted due to cough and difficulty of breathing; 2 retirees, the 73-year-old husband and his 69-year-old wife; 60-year-old government official; the 78-year-old retiree and his 73-year-old wife with history of travel to Guihulngan City; a medical representative and his wife; a 69-year-old retiree; 34-year-old government official; a 40-year-old bank employee; 21-year-old house helper exposed to a COVID case; a 43-year-old government official; a 42-year-old supervisor and his 66-year-old mother; 39-year-old agent with comorbidities diabetes and hyperlipidemia; 57-year-old hospital worker and his wife, who is a secretary to a medical doctor.
Meanwhile, the 7 COVID-19 patients who have recovered are: 3 BPO agents of the same company; a senior engineer of a private company in a different municipality; a 61-year-old retiree; a legal assistant of a national agency and a 25-year-old house helper.
Sixty-seven (67) Persons Under Monitoring are under strict quarantine as they are known contacts of COVID-19 positive cases along with 2 individuals with symptoms of ILI.
