Three (3) health workers and 3 government employees are among the 14 new COVID-19 cases with 7 recoveries were reported today based on the latest results of swab RT-PCR tests, Monday.
Hence, there are now 177 active COVID-19 cases, 683 recoveries and 38 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to May 24, 2021.
The 14 new COVID-19 cases are: 3 health workers of the same hospital who exhibited symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI); 2 male senior citizens admitted due to pneumonia and hypertension, a 25-year-old BPO agent with symptoms of ILI; the 16-year-old nephew of confirmed COVID case; the 6-year-old son of a confirmed COVID case; a bank employee and 40-year-old resident of Barangay Taclobo with symptoms of ILI; 2 government employees; a male resident of Poblacion 6, who was swabbed as a requirement for work and a driver of a government agency.
The 7 COVID-19 recoveries include: a nurse, a physical therapist, 2 hospital staff, a government official and daughter and a driver of a national agency.
Fourteen (14) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from quarantine today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
In contrast, 27 Persons Under Monitoring are under strict quarantine as they are known contacts of COVID-19 positive cases along with an individual with symptoms of ILI.
