The City Health Office confirms 13 COVID-19 recoveries and 11 new cases based on the latest release of swab RT-PCR test results, Thursday.
Presently, the city has 155 active COVID-19 cases, 639 recoveries and 38 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present May 20, 2021.
The 11 new cases are: the 48-year-old government employee assigned in another municipality with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI); a staff of a cooperative; a 55-year-old government employee working in a municipality; a 21-year-old student exposed to a COVID case; a 30-year-old health worker; an IT sales agent; the 67-year-old mother of a COVID case; a resident of Taclobo but works in Bais City; a software developer with ILI; a co-worker of a COVID case and a manager of a financial institution.
Sixteen (16) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 31 close contacts of COVID-19 cases were quarantined today along with 3 PUMs with symptoms of ILI.
