No new COVID-19 cases or recoveries were reported on Sunday thus the number of active cases remain at 127 with 607 recoveries and 37 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to May 16, 2021.
However, about 44 more close contacts exposed to the most recent COVID-19 cases from Barangays Piapi, Pulantubig, Candau-ay, Cantil-e, Camanjac along with 23 persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or (ILI) have been quarantined and will be swab tested.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that the 127 active COVID cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (4), Bajumpandan (😎, Balugo (3), Banilad (9), Bantayan (9), Batinguel (11), Buñao (2), Cadawinonan (2), Calindagan (4), Camanjac (7), Candau-ay (1), Daro (11), Junob (13), Looc (2), Mangnao (3), Piapi (13), Poblacion 1 (3), Poblacion 2 (1), Poblacion 5 (1), Poblacion 8 (2), Tabuc-tubig (2), Taclobo (13) and Talay (3).
Meanwhile, 25 Persons Under Monitoring were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
