Two (2) Persons Deprived of Liberty and 2 health workers are among the 8 new COVID-19 cases reported today based on the latest results of swab RT-PCR tests.
Hence, there are now 87 active COVID-19 cases, 583 recoveries and 35 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to May 11, 2021.
The 8 new COVID-19 cases are: a 75-year-old grandfather who exhibited symptoms of Influenza Like Illness; the 29-year-old husband, the 23-year-old nephew and mother with comorbidity of confirmed COVID cases; 2 health workers (physical therapist and medtech) of a hospital and 2 PDLs now isolated in a hospital.
Meanwhile, the lone recovery is the 53-year-old barangay official who was isolated at the Silliman University Medical Center.
All 87 COVID-19 cases are isolated in the different government facilities and hospitals.
Seventeen (17) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from quarantine today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
