SK President Renz Macion, Chairperson of the Local Youth Development Council, convened the membership, Thursday, to finalize the Internal Rules and Procedure and formulate the Local Youth Development Plan.
It was agreed that, as leaders of various youth organizations, they should be in the forefront to combat COVID-19 misinformation through the dissemination of video testimonials and infographics to bolster awareness of COVID 19 vaccination in partnership with the Department of Health.
LYDC also plans to conduct an awareness caravan on mental health and its link to drug addiction with emphasis on a sense of community that takes care of the afflicted to prevent suicides.
The participants also underscored the need for a series of honest talks on risky sexual behaviors of the youth with known advocates of reproductive health and to help teens become responsible parents.
