Four (4) senior citizens and 4 government employees assigned in different LGUs are among the 15 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases with 5 recoveries as reported today by the City Health Office.
There are now 63 active COVID cases, 574 recoveries and 33 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to May 6, 2021.
The 15 new COVID-19 cases are: the 95-year-old senior citizen and his 90-year-old wife and the 61-year-old daughter and her husband of the same age known to be the close contacts of the nonagenarian couple; a 28-year-old female university instructor; the 4 close contacts of NEGOR-COV 2544 identified as the 45-year-old clerk of Tanjay City Health Office, the 28-year-old provincial government employee assigned in La Libertad and their 2 students; a 28-year-old government employee exposed to 2541; the 42-year-old government employee assigned in Bindoy; a 34-year-old BPO employee exposed to a COVID case from Bacong; a 42-year-old businesswoman; the 40-year-old manager of a clinic and the 11-year-old son of a COVID-19 case.
Meanwhile, the 5 COVID-19 recoveries are: the 61-year-old wife of NEGOR-COV 2209; 52-year-old house helper; 43-year-old provincial government employee; 22-year-old BPO agent and the 68-year-old mother of a COVID case.
There are 39 new Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) are on quarantine to include 4 persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illnness and those exposed to COVID-19 positive cases from Barangays Taclobo, Pulantubig, Poblacion 8, Poblacion 2, Bagacay, Camanjac, Daro, Bantayan and Junob.
But 19 other PUMs were released from quarantine today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
