Some 20 nurses and midwives assigned in the Birthing Home of the City Health Office underwent a refresher in Basic Life Support Training for Health Care Providers held at the residence of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo last week.
The participants, led by Head Nurse Emily Abordo, performed return demonstrations on Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for infants and adults supervised by the staff of the Department of Health and NOPH.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that the refresher training on BLS is required every 2 years for the certification of health care providers, which is needed for the license to operate of the birthing home.
