City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms the recovery of the 2 COVID-19 patients with no new cases reported as of Monday.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s IATF-MEID, that there are 58 active cases, 556 recoveries and 33 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present May 3, 2021.
The 2 COVID-19 patients who have since recovered are the 9-year-old daughter of NEGOR-COV 2321 from Barangay Bantayan and the 73-year-old businesswoman, a close contact of NEGOR COV 2232 of Barangay Daro.
Meanwhile, 4 Persons Under Monitoring were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
In contrast, 11 close contacts of new COVID cases from Barangays Balugo, Cantil-e, Bagacay and Talay plus 2 individuals with Influenza Like Illness begin their strict and mandatory quarantine today.
