Participants to the 5-day Emergency Medical Responder and Basic Life Support CPR Certification Training, which culminates on Friday, were taught and asked to perform Basic First Aid, assess medical emergency and how to properly carry or transport of victims to the nearest hospital.
Dr. Kenneth Tan Coo, Medical Director of ONE RESCUE-EMS, also lectured and demonstrated on the updated Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation protocols and how to handle trauma patients.
The participants of the training, some of them neophytes, are mainly personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office along with some personnel from the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Philippine Army.
