The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases confirms that no new COVID-19 positive cases or recoveries were reported on Monday, April 26, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that there are 35 active COVID cases, 546 recoveries and 31 deaths.
Meanwhile, 28 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
Twenty-one (21) close contacts from Barangays Looc and Bantayan who were exposed to COVID positive cases from Barangay Bantayan and Siaton are now on quarantine.
The City Health Office conducted RT-PCR swab testing to about 40 individuals in several barangays Monday morning but another batch of about 38 additional persons will also be swabbed on Tuesday.
