Personnel of the Philippine National Police and other enforcers will be deployed across the city to apprehend violators of the 10:00PM curfew and mandatory use of face masks.
According to the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, the nightly patrols will serve as a constant reminder to the public that the COVID-19 pandemic is still prevalent and that discipline is needed to prevent the spread of infection especially among the vulnerable members of the community.
Violators are warned that they can be fined and detained for defying the local health protocols and curfew. Those apprehended for not wearing face masks will be fined P 3,000 or face jail time.
