City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms the recovery of 6 COVID-19 patients following the release of repeat swab RT-PCR test results today.
However, 2 new COVID-19 cases were also reported on the same day.
The 2 new cases are: the 36-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 2096 from Barangay Motong and a 29-year-old clerk of pawnshop who was swabbed for work requirement.
Thus, the total active COVID-19 cases dropped to 25 with 530 recoveries and 21 deaths, as of Tuesday.
The 6 COVID-19 patients who recovered are: 49-year-old males sales agent of tobacco products; 3-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 2065; 43-year-old OFW from Barangay Banilad; 31-year-old emale BPO agent; 58-year-old female resident of Barangay Batinguel, who was swabbed for travel to USA and the 40-year-old close contact of NEGOR-COV 2026.
Meanwhile, 3 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) are under strict isolation as they are known contacts of COVID-19 patients in Barangays Taclobo and Motong.
In contrast, 10 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without
any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
None of the 179 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
