The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases confirms 8 new COVID-19 cases but with 3 new recoveries reported as of Thursday.
Therefore, the number of active COVID cases increased to 33 with 514 recoveries and 30 deaths since the pandemic affected the City from January 30, 2020 to April 15, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Sarah B. Talla said that the 4 new COVID-19 cases are: 36-year-old female resident of Barangay Bagacay; 37-year-old businessman from Barangay Bajumpandan; 3-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 2065; 43-year-old male OFW swabbed for travel requirement; 51-year-old real estate architect who was supposed to travel abroad; 45-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 2066; 40-year-old helper of a COVID patient in Barangay Piapi and 27-year-old male resident of Barangay Pulantubig also swabbed for travel to Luzon.
Meanwhile, the 3 COVID-19 patients who have recovered are: 25-year-old university teacher and his 21-year-old brother from Barangay Taclobo and the 32-year-old religious minister who was exposed to a COVID case from Mabinay.
Eleven (11) Persons Under Monitoring are under strict quarantine as they are known contacts of COVID-19 positive cases in Barangays Bajumpandan, Calindagan and Banilad.
In contrast, 2 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
