Two (2) COVID-19 patients are now considered to have recovered but 2 new cases reported today by City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla.
Hence, the number of active COVID-19 cases is still 28 with 511 recoveries and 30 deaths since the City was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to April 14, 2021.
The 2 new recoveries are: the 62-year-old female government employee with travel history to Samar and the 56-year-old electrical technician of a private company who was swabbed as part of work requirement.
In contrast, 2 new COVID-19 cases were recorded also today: 54-year-old female resident of Barangay Camanjac and a 70-year-old grandfather from Barangay Motong. Both have symptoms of Influenza Like Illness and admitted in the hospitals.
Meanwhile, 26 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from isolation today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of ILI.
Finally, 22 new PUMs were quarantined starting today to include 2 persons with Influenza Like Illness both residents of Barangay Bantayan and 20 close contacts of COVID-19 cases from Barangays Daro, Talay, Camanjac, Buñao and Motong.
