Two newly passed ordinances of Barangay Bajumpandan were favorably endorsed to the City Council for approval in the next regular session by the Committee on Rules Ordinances and Legal Matters and Good Governance.
Committee Chairperson Councilor Michael Bandal with member Councilor Karissa Tolentino deliberated the 5 barangay ordinances under review as submitted by Punong Barangay Crispin V. Patrimonio and main author Kagawad Reu D. Ismil during the meeting, Monday.
The staff representing City Legal Officer Manuel Arbon also scrutinized the provisions of the barangays ordinances and provided technical inputs to enhance the review process.
The two barangay ordinances favorably endorsed by the Committee to the City Council are:
1. An ordinance clearing the sidewalks, streets, roads, alleys, bridges, parks and other public places in housing sites and roads of all illegal structures and obstructions.
2. An ordinance prohibiting all kinds of animals to stray in public and private streets, plazas, parks, providing penalties for violations thereof and for other purposes.
Meanwhile, the 3 other barangay ordinances are deferred for amendments and fine tuning will be resubmitted when appropriate.
