Dumaguete City Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Ramoncelio Sawan addresses the city’s Discipline Zone Project enforcers to remind them of their significant role in ensuring public order and safety by enforcing all laws and ordinances without fear or favor.
Lt. Col. Sawan also pledged his command’s all-out support to the Discipline Zone Project created by the administration of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and currently managed by its Chairman Councilor Michael Bandal and its Executive Director Provincial DILG Chief Farah Diba Gentuya.
DILG Regional Director Leocardo T. Trovela has earlier lauded Mayor Remollo for demonstrating the DILG brand of service as Matino, Mahusay at Maaasahan!
In choosing Mayor Remollo as the BIDA ang May Disiplina Regional Ambassador for Central Visayas, DILG cited among his significant and outstanding achievements in instilling the culture of discipline among his constituents and promoting peace and order in his city.
Mayor Remollo initiated the Discipline Zone Project in cooperation with DILG which led to the apprehension of more than 25, 000 violators for obstructing the flow of traffic since 2018.
The DILG noted that the Discipline Zone Project of Dumaguete City was undertaken long before the presidential directive on road clearing was instituted.
