Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo led city and barangay officials in directing the demolition of the old Tabuc-tubig barangay hall this morning so that DPWH and the contractor can continue the widening of the approach to the 20-meter bridge.
Tabuc-tubig Barangay Captain Randy Fausto expressed gratitude to Mayor Remollo for providing the funds to build a new multi-purpose building where they transferred before the demolition of the 20-year-old barangay hall that must be cleared for the road widening.
Mayor Remollo hopes that other residential owners and establishments would voluntarily allow their properties to be utilized in the road widening project.
The City Government has allocated close to P 5 million to build the new barangay hall where the Tabuc-Tubig barangay officials are holding office, the members of the public can transact business and other activities.
Both Mayor Remollo and Captain Fausto expressed their appreciation to Danfrod Sy for donating the property being utilized by the barangay officials and constituents.
Present during the demolition are Councilor Karissa Tolentino, Councilor Michael Bandal, Liga ng mga President Dionie Amores and Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas.
