The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases reported 4 new COVID-19 cases and 3 recoveries as of Wednesday.
Hence, since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to March 25, 2021 there are 11 active cases; 464recoveries and 30 deaths.
City Health Officer Dr. Sarah B. Talla said that the 4 new COVID-19 cases are: a 50-year-old male employee of a private company from Barangay Bantayan; 49-year-old driver of the same company and 49-year-old female house helper from Barangay Taclobo and a 19-year-old student from Barangay Daro, who underwent RT PCR test before travel.
Meanwhile, the 3 COVID cases are: the 71-year-old grandfather from Barangay Camanjac; 48-year-old employee from Barangay Piapi and the the 86-year-old grandmother who was hospitalized due to fall and for symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
Twenty-seven (27) Persons Under Monitoring are under strict isolation as they are known contacts of a COVID-19 positive case in Barangays Bantayan, Taclobo and Daro.
In contrast, 13 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
