In line with the company’s effort to help fight COVID-19, Metro Dumaguete Water through its Chief Operations Officer Angelo David C. Berba has turned over hand washing facilities to the City Government represented by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo in simple rites at the Presidencia grounds, today.
In accepting the donation on behalf of the city government, Mayor Remollo said that these facilities will remind members of the public the value of frequent and proper hand washing not just to maintain good hygiene but more importantly in preventing the spread of COVID-19 as encapsulated by the Hugas Luwas, Dumaguete campaign.
The donated hand washing facilities will be placed in strategic locations of the City Hall Compound were hundreds of employees, health workers and members of the public transact business daily.
Among the officials present during the turnover ceremony are City Councilors Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Lilani Ramon, Michael Bandal, Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas, City Administrator Doram Dumalagan, City Legal Officer Manuel Arbon, Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla, City Treasurer Cristina Merced, City Budget Officer Antonieta General, City DILG Officer Christopher Pastor and General Services Officer Azucena Gonzales.
