Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del Pascua of the Department of Education led a delegation from Central Office and Deped Region 7 Director Salustiano Jimenez inspected the proposed TechVoc High School building in Barangay Batinguel with Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and other city officials this afternoon.
Mayor Remollo said that the building, which is nearing completion, will be used by students for instruction and training in the Technological and Vocational Education.
Graduates of the TechVoc curriculum are supposed to have acquired the skills to improve their employability in the increasingly diverse and competitive job market.
A second building, with basically similar features, will also be built in the same site will be named Calenica G. Pal in honor of the Pal family, who donated the one-hectare lot adjacent to Batinguel Elementary School.
Among those who joined the inspection are Councilors Lilani Ramon, Michael Bandal, Manuel Sagarbarria, Manuel Patrimonio, Liga ng mga Barangay President Dionie Amores, Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas, Information Communications Technology Service Director Abram Abanil, Engr. Anabel Pangan and Adolf Aguilar of Deped Central Office, Engr. Noemi Guillen of Deped Region 7, City Schools Division Supt. Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde, Dr. Juditha Mapue and other officials.
