Dr. Nora Maria Elena Teves Osmeña, the City Government’s Psychologist, conducted exercises for the officers and members of the Local Council of Women, Violence Against Women and Children desk officers, Retired Police Col. Rosalinda Abellon and staff of the City Social Welfare and Development Office on how to handle the negative effects of social media on children and stress management.
Today’s activity was organized and supported by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Councilor Lilani Ramon Chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children and Special Needs in line with the celebration of Women’s Month celebration, which gives tribute to #SuperJuanas who fulfill various roles during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among the exercises conducted were evaluation on perceived stress scale; cause and effects of stress; stigma on mental health; Decluttering Psychology (1 minute meditation) and talk on the important role of parents in the holistic development of their children.
