There are 14 active COVID-19 cases following the confirmation of 4 additional cases reported today.
The 4 new COVID-19 cases are: the 46-year-old husband and 21-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 1811 from Barangay Batinguel; 13-year-old niece of NEGOR-COV 1817 from Barangay Buñao and 71-year-old male, who was hospitalized for fever from Barangay Camanjac.
From January 30, 2020 to March 17, 2021 the city now has 14 active COVID cases; 452 recovered and 29 deaths.
Meanwhile, 10 known close contacts of COVID-19 cases and 1 newly discharged COVID patient are strictly quarantined as Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs and may be subject to swab tests based on the assessment of the health workers.
On the other hand, 4 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
None of the 86 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
